Developers of the latest hair cloning technique have said they would not recommend it to those where established treatment methods would work well, and a man whose hair loss started when he was 22 proves in his video logs just how well established hair loss treatments can work.

When Diya made his initial visit to The Belgravia Centre he was concerned about his receding hairline and thinning at his crown but was confident that he would grow hair back after viewing Belgravia’s large collection of before/after photos.

“Hopefully I will get a positive result as I saw on the website on the photoscans on customers who had this treatment,” Diya said in his first video log before starting the programme. “I’ll be doing these videos to show myself and to show people my improvement and to monitor my progress.”

Specialists advise that it can take up to six months before the effects of the treatment are noticeable, which is why Diya was amazed that within the first three months, he was not the only one who could feel and see a difference in the density of his hair.

“I’ve been hearing lots of compliments and comments from my friends. Even my barber, he goes to me, ‘Your hair looks much thicker, much better than before’,” Diya said in the video log that marked three months of treatment. “What I saw was amazing, my hair is fully growing. Seriously, it’s amazing what I saw today. I am so happy.

“At the front,” he points to his temporal area in the three month video, “here used to be so thin, now it’s thickened up and even at the back you can see the difference.”

Belgravia Centre director Jonny Harris, says that while there are effective treatment options currently available, there’s no magic cure for baldness and people should realised the sooner they act, the more likely they are to achieve successful results.

“There are treatments that are proven to prevent and reverse hair loss and when used correctly, with the right treatment boosters and close monitoring, most people will see some degree of hair loss stabilisation and regrowth,” Mr Harris said. “If hair loss is caught at the right time it will be stopped in almost all cases and most people’s hair will become thicker within the first six months and maintained thereafter.”

By the end of the six months, and still with six more months worth of treatment to go, Diya’s hair is noticeably thicker and particularly evident in the direct video comparison of his hair growth from before the treatment and at the three and six month mark  (to be found on The Belgravia Centre’s YouTube channel).

Following instructions to cut his hair short for his follow-up video, Diya explains “I didn’t want to cut it short because I was looking forward to how it looks when it’s long”. It’s really thick and much better than before.

“I’m really happy about the way my hair’s responded.”
